Little Obsessions of the Week #2

I haven't done one of these in like 6 months!  I noticed I write a post or two, then I won't write another one until months later...I am horrible, I know.  Anyways on to my favorite things of the week...

1. Target Brand Makeup Remover Wipes(purple package)...These wipes are a great alternative to the Neutrogena makeup removing wipes...plus they are a lot cheaper as well.  These wipes don't burn my eyes and remove almost all my eye makeup.  I will definitely be repurchasing.

2.Urban Decay Primer Potion...I haven't been able to buy an eyeshadow primer because I have not had the extra cash to buy one...well, let me take that back, I have been using my primer but not UDPP...this primer is awesome and makes my eyeshadow stay on all day... which is great since I have super oily eyelids.

3.Bangs...I really want to cut my bangs.  I have grown out bangs that go all the way down past my nose.  I am hesitant to cut my bangs short because I have a chubby face, but I think longer bangs like in this picture will look nice on me.

4. Samsung Skyrocket... I recently used my upgrade...as in my dad's upgrade, and decided on the Samsung Skyrocket...and I have to say it was a great choice.  I used to have the Samsung Infuse, and they told me this one was just like it but way better...and it is awesome.
5.Instagram...I love Instagram! It is so fun to post pictures of everyday life, as well as seeing everyone else's pictures as well.  Plus, I have been posting pictures of my crocheted items...and people are liking them and one of my friends wants to purchase a hat from me!

Life as of Lately...

As of lately, I have not been crocheting as much(which I know is shocking).  I just needed a break from making toys.  I go through my phases with crocheting, some days I go on a toy making spree, but then I get tired of that.  I then move onto making headbands, hair clips, hats, etc.  Plus, I am in summer school right now and I have to make sure I keep up with my online calculus class.  When I have homework to do, I get stressed out and won't crochet anything until I have finished my work.  I guess that is way to not procrastinate on my school work, right?  Another reason I haven't felt like crocheting is because my teacher from high school suggested that I make a bunch of avengers dolls to sell at the craft fair in December...but I don't feel like making any.  Then to top it all off, I do not know what to name my etsy shop.  I don't want to have a lame name. I guess I will figure out a name eventually...I'm just not that creative with names.
Today, I tried my hand at polymer clay and made some roses.  I think they came out well.  I will post pics tomorrow...xoxo
P.S. Let me throw a picture in so the post can have something visual as well...

Pig on a Hoop

Recently on tumblr, A Morning Cup of Jo posted a picture of her embroidery hoop art.  I thought it was so cute, so I decided to make one as well. I made this one for my sister.  She loves pigs, so of course I had to put a pig on it.  I think it came out well, considering it was my first time doing this.  I plan on making more...   Sincerely, Maddi

Favorite Liquid Eyeliners

I love to wear liquid liner, so I thought I would share a few of my favorite liners.  These will be in no particular order because I use different brands all the time...
My first favorite would have to be the Physician's Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 in Ultra Black

It is a really great eye liner, it lasts all day and holds up to my oily eye lids.  It is really easy to apply because it is a pen with a brush tip versus a felt tip.  Also, I find it very similar to the LORAC Front of the Line Pro liner.

Another one of my fav's is the Jordana Fabuliner

It is really inexpensive.  I think it is only around $3.  It is easy to use and has a felt tip.  It last all day when I wear eyeshadow under it.  I don't use this eyeliner when I am not wearing eyeshadow because it starts to smear because of my eyelids.  The eyeshadow absorbs the oils...I suppose.

My third favorite would have to be Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eye liner
It really does stay on... I haven't tried wearing for a week straight....yet.  It is super waterproof and not even oily eyelids could break this down.  It is so tough, that I have a hard time taking it off with makeup remover. The brush is really thin and can be a bit tricky to apply, but can make thin or thick lines.

Another one I really like is the Wet n' Wild Liquid Eyeliner

I like this one better that the waterproof one.  The mega liner has a thin brush versus the hard felt tip on the waterproof one.  The brush makes it easy to apply.  The liner lasts all day as well.  I have the aqua colored one and it stays on so well, that I have a hard time taking it off with makeup remover.

These are my top four liquid eyeliners.  I hope you all enjoyed and have a great weekend...

Meet Sir Pig...

He is quite the charming fellow.  He has manners, a cool mustache, and of course, an eyeglass.

Little Obsessions of the Week #1

My favorite items of the weeks:

1.The Movie Bridesmaids...super hilarious!

2. Neutrrogena Makeup Removing Wipes...They make taking my makeup off less of a chore
3. Ben and Jerry's Red Velvet...Yummy in my tummy

These three items were my favorite items of the week.  I haven't been out of my house lately because I do not have a car at the moment.  My car is broken and I am waiting on my dad to take it to his mechanic friend...hopefully that will be sometime soon... ♥

Party Decorations

I finally finished the decorations for my boss' retirement party. I burned my finger many times with the hot glue gun.

The party is a little more than a week away and I'm feeling nervous about it. First of all, only a few of my coworkers have told me what they are bringing. Then the others I have asked tell me they are neither going to the party or that they are bringing themselves.  This really discourages me and I feel like just cancelling the party.  This week at school is the last week before finals week and it will be very stressful and I still have to make the scrapbook for her present as well.  I have asked people to donate to help me buy the stuff but of course no effort.  It makes me sad when nobody is willing to participate.  I'm sure if they were retiring they would want a party and everyone to participate as well.  Or if they needed help with something, they would want help. What comes around, goes around, as they say.

DIY Easy as Pie Polka Dot Vase

These vases are so cute in my opinion and they were very simple to make.  All you need is a glass vase, paint that is suitable for glass, and a round stencil brush.

Have fun!
